Hari Raya Nan Bersejarah

Despite of the luka, Umaira tetap lasak seperti biasa

11th Oct – Umaira jatuh at Pelita Nasi Kandar. We were there with MakCik’s family (they arrived Penang at about 2pm from KL) for Iftar. This is the 1st time MakCik celebrate Eid in Alor Setar.
We reached the restaurant at about 6.45pm and right away booked 2 tables for us. Unfortunately, one of the tables that we chose was the foldable type (the white surface plastic type where people always fold down when not in use). Umaira pressed the table to reached the Sirap and taa daaa.. meja terlipat, gelas jatuh pecah and Umaira jatuh atas gelas. Havoc gila Pelita malam tuh. Nasib baik mama cool, buat bodo je lah. The cut is not that bad. Sikit jer.

She insisted me to put the colorful bandage. Dia takut kut tgk bandage doctor tuh.

12th Oct – We reached Alor Setar’s toll half an hour before Iftar. My husband right away drove to Masjid Sultanah to pay the zakat Fitrah. Biasalah.. semuanya last minute. Malamnya, all out main Bunga Api.

13th Oct – Everybody went for Raya Prayer except me, Umaira, Ashraff and Kimi. My niece and Nephews kata Cu jadi Bibik. This is the 2nd time Ammar went for the Raya prayer.
The Raya celebration was fun! Food.. food.. food.. Makan, keluar duit raya; makan keluar duit Raya.. huwaaa!!!.
Hot Gossip this year is concerning my Brother’s son. He accidentally hit a school boy; he is just 13, rode a motorcycle and off course WITHOUT license. The blame should go to the parents and who-ever asked him to ride the motorcycle. They asked him to buy some butter for their kueh.

The kids enjoying their Duit Raya

14th Oct – Sab came. We went to Ngah’s house. We’re supposed to leave for Tg Karang at about 1am when the kids were fast a sleep but we’re sleeping too.

15th Oct – Left Alor Setar after Subuh. We dropped by our house to dump some of the things and bathe the kids. We depart form out house at about 9.45am and reached Tg Karang at about 8.30pm. Tobat tak nak jalan siang dah. Penat!!!!!. Stuck dalam jam, anak tak nak tidoq, Ashraff tak duduk diam. Lenguh satu badan. However, the food in Tg Karang never disappoints us esp the Rendang. Lapaq kan sehari suntuk dlm kereta without any decent meal.

In Tanjong Karang, the Kids enjoying their kampong lives. Ammar even asked me whether I wanna berkelah with them under pokok kelapa or not. Umiara pun enjoy bukan main lagi. My husband as usual, cut some coconuts and served the juice to everybody. Apa lagi yg dia buat tapi berpeluh sakan. I did my laundry besides asyik makan jer.

Umaira tolong mama membasuh kasut... Ashraff is quite lasak as well.. Tak terkejut ker, nenek?

After Tanjong Karang, we headed to Swiss Garden Damai Laut. Thanks Suraya for the treat. As usual, the kids are very excited to stay in the Hotel. Sebab apa kan?.. Swimming pool kut.
Lepas tuh balik rumah, rehat, masak, bersepah, mengemas, attending open houses. Enjoy.. enjoy.. enjoy.. On Monday the 22nd, masuk office, baru lah terasa p.e.n.a.t. and m.a.l.a.s....

Damai Laut - Ammar sibuk dgn TV walau di mana jua berada.

Countdown to Raya!!!

The kids have taken their Raya shots. We need to take the pictures earlier as they would be very busy during the day; they will definitely refuse to co-operate.

The photography session was at our home with our domestic photographer and a pocket size Lumix. To get more vivid pictures, we chose our garden- going to be - jungle (since maktuk is not around to take care of the plants; the flowers are blooming anyway :-)) as the spot.

The Upshot

The front and rear view. My husband chose the number. I'm eagerly wanna pick 24 but he refused. Kan sekarang dah menyesal.

All of the guys got it right. My husband said, the last picture was so obvious. Everybody will get it right. However, most of the girls got it wrong (most is more than 10, okay!). Majority of them guessed it’s a Vios.
Someone got it totally wrong. She said she over-looked the Toyota logo. Therefore, she wrote in the email; “Takkan MyVi jer kut”. Ahaks!
Someone thought it’s a Jazz but the Toyota logo is there. So, it has to be Yaris.
Thus, I took my camera (while writing this) and captured the whole piece.
The pics are not that sharp; malam lah plus my neighbor is outside. Seganlah…
Amacam? .. Dah boleh teka ker?

The masterpiece; taken from the web.

So Long My Love!!!

Sayonara... I feel sad.. really sad...
I have to let go my beloved kenari to a bigger car. Ya lah kan, anak2 dah ramai.

My Kenari. The special color, the sport rims - it's beautiful. I'm missing you already.

I've been using my Kenari for 4.5 years and I don't have any problem with it except once with the cooling coil. Itu pun still under warranty; Perodua replaced it for free.

My Kenari is a tough baby. She handled my kids very well. They eat, they drink, they play and they sleep in this car. Luckily, the special edition Kenari comes with the leather seat. No stain, no smell. Kereta baru nih, kena lah control kan? No food, shoes on the floor, tak leh pijak seat... Adushh!! kesian the kids.

My Kenari - the interior

The number that I've bought. My husband's car is 6444. Btw, this Kenari tak pernah kena saman. Pemandunya berhemah :-).

The spidey to cover up scratches made by a motorist.

the Month of Ramadhan

Umaira has been to the day care (full day) since 1st September as Maktuk won’t be around during Ramadan - she’s busy with her tadarus, khatam and etc. Yuppp… it’s quite exhausted for me to manage my three kids ALONE during the weekdays (the capitol letter is for my hubby’s eyes) but I'm OK. Basically, my life starts at about 4.45am when I wake up for Sahur; I watch tv while doing the house chores, prepare the kids stuffs and sometimes I’m on the internet; reading news and blogging.
Btw, Ammar goes to the full day kindergarten as well. He’s having his afternoon nap, learns iqra’ and learns how to pray (fardhu ain) in the kindergarten. Umaira on the other hand, would be playing, singing and eating only -she’s still young though. However, she learns a few doa as well and manage to recite doa makan, doa bangun tidur and doa selepas mkn fluently. Umaira seems happy to go to the day care. May bethe caregiver has the genuine love and
likes to entertain her.

The labelling done by the day care

My routine - I will send Ammar first, followed by Umaira; and then Ashraff to my sister’s place and head to the office. After office hours (my office hours varies from 5.00pm to 6.00pm. If I didn’t finish my projects by 6, I would still go home and continue them later) I will pick Ammar, Umaira and move to my sister’s place to pick Ashraff and break- fast (iftar) there. At 8.30pm, we’ll be at home - upstairs; messing all the toys and books. At about 10pm, everyone has been sleeping. I will wake up later, at about 10.30pm or 11pm to wipe the floor and tidy the house.

Mama being creative - uses the glass paint to label the bottle. Next step,
embroider the towel. My husband will grin and say -"in your dream".
Ammar and Umaira’s task - They have to locate all the dirty clothes from the day care into the laundry basket and put their bags in the store. Ammar needs to finish his homework before goes to bed. Umaira never fail to perform her task. She will right away bring her bag upstairs and empty it. Ammar on the contrary, need to be reminded a few times. Sometimes, I need to raise my voice in order to see the progress. Still, most of the times, he will only completes his homework in the morning.
I even washed the bottle to make sure the paint is still there.
